The Epilepsy Association of Utah, in partnership with the University of Utah, are pleased to announce the creation of an annual art exhibit featuring the works of people living with Epilepsy.

The Association needs your help to name the Exhibit. The winning entry will be chosen by The Association and the author will receive a 20$ gift card to Madeline’s Restaurant.

Practical Fact: Ask your doctor if there are any cold pills, fever medicines or other drug-store products that you should not use because you take epilepsy medicine. Antihistamines are known to lower the threshold for some people with seizures.

Pennies from heaven

Sometimes, the simple things are the best:

"A Penny For Your Thoughts" - here's my thoughts - Please join me and let's save as many pennies as possible for 10 weeks during the summer:

(Of course, I promise I won't tell if you start saving your pennies early!)

After Sunday August 22, 2010 please donate your penny collection to your local Epilepsy Organization or another volunteer organization of your choice that is working hard in your community to help people with epilepsy, sudep, and other issues related to seizure disorders. Your participation is greatly appreciated.
**If you have a large collection of pennies please try to roll them prior to presenting your donation.

Executive Director- Epilepsy Association of Utah a 501(c)(3) charity is seeking a part-time Executive Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of our volunteer based program. Qualified candidates will have an advanced degree and/or a min 4 years proven track record of program management, grant writing, and funding development. Candidate needs to be organized, detail-oriented person with strong computer and communication skills. Candidate will manage an office located in West Jordan, Ut. Candidate must be an effective leader with the ability to build & maintain relationships with organizations & agencies across the entire state. This position will report directly to a Board of Directors and work to maintain the strategic vision of the organization. Yard Sale!

On June 5th Madeline's Restaurant in South Jordan will be hosting a Yard Sale Fundraiser for the EPILEPSY ASSOCIATION OF UTAH.

The Yard Sale will be held in front of the restaurant at 1133 West South Jordan Pkwy (10600 South) and will run from 8am to 2pm.

If you have anything you would like to donate, please bring it by the restaurant anytime.

As a thank you, Madeline's will be giving away a free dessert or appetizer for every donation made.
