Artilepsy Exhibit

The Epilepsy Association of Utah and the University of Utah Clinical Neurosciences Center present Artilepsy, an exhibition of original artwork, photography and home crafts by people of all ages living with Epilepsy. This event illustrates the profound effect that epilepsy can have on human life and the courage, humor and imagination many show in facing it.

The exhibit opens on Nov 6 and runs through Dec 22.

There will be an opportunity to learn more about the Epilepsy Association of Utah (EAU) as well as become involved with advocacy and support of those who struggle with Epilepsy.

EAU Annual Conference

Years ago, every Saturday morning, children everywhere were glued to their television sets, transfixed by Scooby Doo and his latest mischievous mystery. Not much has changed for some of those children, mysteries still abound, only there is no talking dog around to solve the puzzle.

On Saturday November 6th, The EAU and University of Utah will attempt to unravel some of the mysteries surrounding Epilepsy. Whether you are newly diagnosed with Epilepsy or have been living with it for decades, this Saturday is designed to help you and your loved ones become better acquainted with the latest diagnostic tools, pharmacology treatments and surgical updates.

Primary Care Enrollment

Utah’s Primary Care Network (PCN) will open enrollment November 8 - 22. PCN is a primary preventive health coverage plan for uninsured adults. Benefits include primary care physician services, prescriptions, dental services, eye exams, birth control, and general preventive services.

Since May 2010, PCN has been closed for enrollment and has not accepted new applications. Beginning November 8 through November 22, all uninsured Utah adults may apply online, by mail, or in person to receive primary health care.

Qualified candidates will have an advanced degree and/or a min 4 years proven track record of program management, grant writing, and funding development. Candidate needs to be organized, detail-oriented person with strong computer and communication skills. Candidate will manage an office located in West Jordan, Ut. Candidate must be an effective leader with the ability to build & maintain relationships with organizations & agencies across the entire state. This position will report directly to a Board of Directors and work to maintain the strategic vision of the organization. The Yard Sale will be held in front of the restaurant at 1133 West South Jordan Pkwy (10600 South) and will run from 8am to 2pm.

Camp Spike and Wave

Camp Spike and Wave registration is open now!!! Camp is available for any teen with epilepsy between the age of 10 - 18. We will be holding camp on July 26 - 30 at the National Ability Center in Park City. We are also looking for nurse volunteers. If you are interested in having your teen attend or volunteering for Camp Spike and Wave please e-mail Kris at kris@epilepsyut.org. We look forward to working with you!
